Bath Time, Story Time and Ballet Time?

McKay loves hanging out by baby brother's side.

Nathan didn't get to give Andrew his first bath in the hospital like he was able to with McKay. We had a special bath-time so daddy could have that experience.

All fresh and clean...and worn ou!

We all love holding Andrew and try to keep him happy by reading him lots of stories.

McKay got to have a special experience with his Aunt Misty's ballet class. He needed a break along with something fun to do. He did have a lot of fun at the only ballet class he'll ever have (most likely).

Andrew's First Day Home

Riding in the car with a brand new baby is stressful all by itself. However, when the car breaks down on the freeway on the way home from the hospital with a brand new baby it's a whole new ballgame. So, as we were headed home, on I-15 from St. George to Cedar City, our trusty mini-van broke down. I also broke down. I was in pain, needed to nurse, needed to get Andrew out of his carseat, and had a hungry three-year-old. We are so grateful for the heroes of the day....Holly who came and took me and Andrew home and Nathan's dad who came and towed the van home.

When we left the hospital Andrew's bilirubin was high, so he needed sunlight. We had to get his bilirubin levels checked every day for a week. His little heels were covered in pin pricks.....so sad!  At least we didn't need the light-bed this time.

All buckled in and ready to go!

Leaving the hospital...reality is just setting in for McKay.

Big Brother Meets Little Brother

Here are a few of my favorite pictures (out of many) of McKay holding Andrew for the first time. McKay is so pleased and proud and has been so gentle and loving. It looks like they are going to be great friends.

The very first time....

And then 24 hours later...

He's here! The Arrival of Andrew Nathan Miller!

9-13-11

On our way to the hospital...Dixie Regional Medical Center.
McKay looks just a little worried.

Hanging out...waiting for things to move along.

Just born.

He weighs how much? That's right...9 lb 2 oz. And 20.5 inches long.

Proud papa.

The amazing Dr. Lunt
(with Grandma Pearson in the background).

Tired and happy mama.

First bath.

Sweet baby (looks like his mommy).
He has a fair amount of dark hair and long fingers and toes.

Giant feet.
